This year’s program, “Questions and Answers for Course Directors: Writing MCQs and Sharing Best Practices,” includes a breakfast and is held tomorrow, from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. The workshop provides a forum for discussion of common concerns shared by course directors. Dr. Marc Kahn of Tulane Univer- A Course Directors’ Workshop to Focus On Writing MCQs and Sharing Best Practices sity School of Medicine will lead a didactic session and interactive workshop on Writing Multiple Choice Questions. Dr. Alice Ma of the University of North Carolina will chair a session on Best Practices From Course Directors. Dr. Hooman H. Rashidi of University of California, San Diego, will share information on using mind mapping in teaching hematology. Dr. Lekidelu Taddesse-Heath of Howard University will discuss the “Hematology Interactive E-Learning Module,” a case-based learning module designed to teach medical students hematology through simulation of patient examination, work-up, and diagnosis. Finally, Dr. Ma will present “Coag Made Easy.” All hematology course directors are welcome to attend. The breakfast meeting will take place at the Randall Ballroom AB in the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego. On-Demand Webcasts n-demand webcasts of all of the Education Program sessions and the Special Lectures from this year’s annual meeting will be available on the ASH website (www.hematology.org) after the meeting. Users will be able to hear audio recordings of the presentations while viewing associated color slides.
