Big White Ski Resort will be the location of the premiere FWSA Spring Fling. photo courtesy of Big White Ski Resort Inaugural FWSA Spring Fling Ski Trip To Be Held At Big White - Spring, 2012 For the first time, FWSA will hold a second, but shorter, ski trip, which Big White is thrilled to host as the bid winner. The Far West Spring Fling is planned for March 27 to April 1. For those members that attend our annual convention, you know the Big White crew always delivers a fun time, so this is sure to be a trip to mark on your calendars. The trip will be limited to 100 FWSA participants, which includes five nights lodging, a three or four day lift ticket package, welcome party and a farewell wine festival with fireworks display. Conveniently located just east of Kelowna in the Okanagan Valley, Big White is Canada’s largest totally ski-in, ski-out resort village, and offers exceptional spring skiing with their renowned Okanagan Champagne Powder. In fact, their bountiful, dry powder was voted the “Best Snow in North America” by readers of Condé Nast Traveler. Big White is uniquely blessed with sunny weather and dry powder, thus, it makes for the perfect venue for this Far West Spring Fling with participants working on their goggle tans and enjoying outdoor BBQ’s. Participants will have a great range of optional activities including a 60 foot ice climbing tower, snow tubing, snow biking, snowmobiling, exploring the backcountry on cross country skis or snowshoes, sleigh rides through the wilderness, and even mush your own dog sled. Big White also offers a full array of food and beverage facilities ranging from casual to fine dining, complete with live après entertainment daily. If you’re after relaxation, soak up the sunset in a steaming hot tub, sit by the fire sipping hot chocolate, tantalize your senses at one day spas or stroll through their retail outlets.
