Mary Manning with Aspen/Snowmass, Mike Hibbard and Sara Clemons with Sports America Tours are thrilled to be hosting this Ski Week. Aspen/Snowmass offers four amazing mountains; Snowmass, Buttermilk Mountain, Aspen Mountain and Aspen Highlands. Buttermilk welcomes beginners. Less experienced skiers can cruise wide rolling trails while experts can enjoy the terrain park. Snowmass covers 3,132 acres of skiing and offers runs for every ability. Aspen Highlands is the locals’ favorite, known for its steep terrain, groomed cruisers and scenic views of the maroon bells. Aspen Mountain serves up untold variations of double black, cruisers and glades for skiers and snowboarders, Aspen Mountain rises an impressive 3,267 feet from the heart of downtown Aspen. The Council Trip Leaders, Travel Staff and I are looking forward to the site tour at Aspen/Snowmass in early in 2012 to start preparations for what should be an exciting and enjoyable return visit for Far West Ski Association members to Aspen/Snowmass.
