Sanya’s beach setting inspired the creamtoned palette, which was repeated in everything from the wedding party attire to the linens decorating reception tabletops. • “When selecting a signature color for a beachfront wedding, the idea is to complement and not compete with the spectacular scenery,” says celebrity wedding designer Marcy Blum. • In addition to cream, beige and sandy taupes, shades of green are also a beautiful choice; the nature-inspired hues lend splashes of color without overpowering the raw beauty of the landscape. • A floral ceremony canopy, like Alina and Eugene’s (below left), is an elegant detail; just make sure the blooms are hardy. Orchids and roses, for example, are more likely to withstand sun, surf and sand, Blum says. • For nighttime nuptials, LED candles, which stay illuminated even in high winds, give the skyline a romantic glow.
