Weddings & Honeymoons ATLANTA The Dessert Wedding package is ideal for couples who prefer to celebrate with a small group of close friends and family. And if invited guests have a sweet tooth — all the better. This yummy option features a customized menu of pastries created by Executive Pastry Chef James Satterwhite. The bride and groom meet in advance with Satterwhite, choosing among treats such as French pastries, rich tru es, tiny milkshakes, miniature s’mores and classic Southern favorites. And if that’s not tempting enough, the bride gets a “guardian angel” (aka personal assistant) on the day of her wedding to handle all the last-minute details. Preserve (and the newlyweds get an outdoor massage the next day if the terrain is a strain); and the Wedding Rodeo, where the bride and groom are married in a Western ceremony, then retire to the White Stallion Ranch for a real rodeo. Of course, barbecue is on the menu. - Butterfly at Rose Hall ISTANBUL The Ta eta package makes liberal use of the luxurious fabric — the banquet hall is transformed into a fairytale wedding venue through taffeta chair covers and matching decor. The Ritz-Carlton Golf & Spa Resort, Rose Hall also hosts prewedding festivities. Of particular interest is the Bachelor Martini Night in the Cohoba Lounge, which o ers a rummier for rum tastings. Parties may need that expertise, since the lounge has more than 150 varieties of Caribbean rums. DOVE MOUNTAIN Settlers in the Southwest exuded a pioneering spirit, so it’s no wonder this newest Ritz-Carlton in Tucson, Ariz., would exhibit — and amplify — the same. It o ers a number of Desert Wedding Adventures, including: the Four-Wheel Wedding Adventure, where guests share a Jeep tour of the High Sonoran Desert and the ceremony takes place amid a desert landscape; Hiking Adventure Nuptials, where guests hoof a trail to a private outdoor ceremony, complete with a Native American flautist; Mountain Bike Vows, during which the happy couple pedals out onto the Tortolita NEW YORK, BATTERY PARK AND BOSTON Both Ritz-Carlton properties o er a Complimentary Honeymoon package when wedding parties book their nuptials at the respective hotels — and choose five nights’ stay at any of more than 50 Ritz-Carlton locations worldwide. As a bonus, couples at the Battery Park hotel are o ered wedding exclusivity at the hotel, meaning theirs will be the only wedding event on the ballroom floor during the day and evening. MOSCOW The Romantic package provides a rose petal turndown service, unlimited complimentary access to the property’s spa, sauna and steam rooms, sparkling wine and strawberries, and one night’s accommodation in a Superior room; the Spa package is ideal for whiling away the stresses that lead up to nuptials and features a 165-minute “Escape from the City” massage. Of course, the newly betrothed won’t want to escape too far, as The Ritz-Carlton, Moscow o ers spectacular views of the historic Kremlin and Red Square. MARINA DEL REY Given that the majority of couples opt to honeymoon after their wedding, the Lavish Layover package at this California property includes overnight accommodations and a round-trip airport transfer. Because the hotel is only five miles from the Los Angeles International Airport, the package a ords couples the opulence of a Ritz-Carlton stay and the convenience of no-hassle travel to their honeymoon destination. For cruise lovers, there’s also an option to shuttle to the Long Beach or San Pedro ports. ROSE HALL The flora provides a photographic backdrop, but at this Jamaica property, the fauna actually gets involved in the wedding. The Butterfly Bliss package includes a ceremony in private lush gardens overlooking the Caribbean Sea and has a butterfly release after the couple exchanges vows.
