OUT OF THE WHITE COAT Colorful Cardiologist Louis I. Heller, M.D., shares his eclectic style outside GMC L ouis I. Heller, M.D., is a board-certiﬁed cardiologist in cardiovascular diseases, interventional cardiology and nuclear cardiology who practices at the Heart & Vascular Center at Gwinnett Medical Center– Lawrenceville. He serves as the director of the cardiac catheterization lab and the interventional cardiology program at GMC. Dr. Heller was born and raised in New York City. He received his Bachelor of Arts in biology at Queens College in Flushing, N.Y., and continued his medical training and education from numerous institutions, including New York Medical College, Long Island Jewish-Hillside Medical Center, Columbia University, University of Massachusetts and Tufts Medical School. In March 2011, Dr. Heller performed the ﬁrst percutaneous coronary intervention procedure in Gwinnett, at GMC–Lawrenceville. With his advanced knowledge and skill, Dr. Heller carried out the procedure with excellent results. Dr. Heller is a founding member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and Louis I.
