The Philanthropedia Survey Philanthropedia is a California-based nonproﬁt philanthropic-research company that was recently acquired by GuideStar. For this project, Philanthropedia surveyed 178 local experts from 127 organizations, asking them to recommend environmental nonproﬁts that have had high impact in the state over the past few years.
